MTU Customer Support

Read This To Receive Our Professional Help

MTU has been in business since March, 1977. We have done that by providing superior products and customer support. We want you to use the MTU products you buy! Sometimes, there are problems that require our help.

The Forum Threads and MTU Support Tickets hold all communications about your question within a single record that any of our Staff (and you) can review and know what has been suggested and tried. This allows us to provide you with professional support.

IMPORTANT NOTICE!

If you email us we may not receive your email and you may not receive our answer.  If you email, don't expect professional support.

The MTU Store, Forums, and Support Tickets require registering separately. Your email address is your Store Account Username. WE SUGGEST you enter the same Username and your Store Password in the Forums and Support Tickets.

Help Guidelines

  1. ALWAYS STATE THE PRODUCT NAME AND VERSION NUMBER.
  2. CLEARLY DEFINE YOUR QUESTION.
  3. INCLUDE ERROR MESSAGES YOU SEE. Search for these in the Forums and FAQ's.
  4. TELL US WHAT YOU DO TO SEE THE PROBLEM.
  5. ALWAYS USE THE SAME EMAIL, OR TELL US WHAT YOUR PRIOR EMAIL WAS.
  6. GIVE US YOUR PHONE NUMBER IN CASE WE NEED TO CALL YOU.

Things to Try When Problems Happen

  1. UPDATE WINDOWS
Read this FAQ instructions page for how to correctly update Windows. Many users don't know how to fully update. Microsoft forces all of us to keep our PC Windows updated. If you don't, MTU products will NOT work correctly. Many problems you may experience can be solved by updating your Windows before you try to install or run MTU software.
  2. READ THE MANUAL
Before asking for help, spend a few minutes in the manual and you will probably find your answer quickly. All MTU Product manuals install on your computer with the program. Click the Help menu "Read Manual" command (it is the "Manual" menu command in Microstudio) and Your default Internet Browser will display the manual.
  3. LOOK IN THE FAQ'S (Frequently Asked Questions)
Most problems are already answered and you can be on your way quickly. The FAQ's are related to MTU product name, computers, or installation. Click the drop down list box showing "Select by Category" and select what relates to you problem, then click the "Go" button.
  4. IMPORTANT NOTICE
In order to insure we receive your question and the right person answers, do not email "someone" at MTU. Use the MTU.Community Forums or register and submit a Support Ticket. PLEASE, do NOT assume we receive your emails sent over the Internet.
  5. SEARCH AND/OR POST IN THE MTU.COMMUNITY FORUMS
Use the Forums when other users can help. The Forums contain threads that answer many questions other users have asked. Users often have experience with your exact problem, and many are willing to share their knowledge with you. Use the Support Ticket if only MTU can help with your problem.

Click the "Search" button at the top right and enter words or a string of words to see posts that contain them. If you don't find an answer, post your problem as a new Thread in the Forum for that product. Read what to post so we can help you. When others post under your Thread, The Forum sends you a private email with a link to your Thread. You can also come back at any time to see if there are answers, in case you don't receive your email notices.
Click here to register (free) in the Forums so you can view, ask and answer questions. When you register the Forum instantly sends you an email. You must click the link WITHIN this email to finish registering. DO NOT click your Email program Reply button. This insures your email is correct and protects your privacy (only MTU staff can see your email address). If you don't find this email with 36 hours (it is sent instantly from the Forums), look for it in your SPAM, JUNK or other similar folders. Contact your ISP and have "@mtu.com" put on their spam "Approved List". Once you click the verification link in the email and the Forum script receives it back, you can enter the Forums.
  6. Submit a MTU Support Ticket When Only MTU Can Help.

If you still need help, register (or log in if registered) and submit a Support Ticket.

Like the Forums, when you register the Support Center instantly sends you a verification email to insure we have your correct email, and to protect your privacy. Click the link WITHIN this email to finish registering. This insures your email address is correct. If you don't find this email, look for it in your SPAM or JUNK folders. If you still don't find it, contact your ISP and have "@mtu.com" put on their spam "Approved List".

    • Sales questions search the FAQ's first. If you don't find an answer, submit a Support Ticket and select Sales.
    • Support questions if you have a failure requiring warranty repair, or need your Registration Code reset to install on a new computer, submit a Support Ticket and select Support
    • Payments, Refunds, or Returns of a software product within 30 days of your order date, submit a Support Ticket and select Payments
  7. TELEPHONE
Since March 15, 2007, MTU no longer offers telephone support.

Your Registration Codes Are In Your Store Account

  1. Click here to go to your Store Account.
  2. Log-in with your email address and Password. If you don't remember your Password, click the Sign In button anyway. In the page that appears, click the Password Forgotten? Click here. link. This will CHANGE your password for your security (we cannot see your Password as it is encrypted), and will immediately email you the new password. Wait for this email, looking in your Span or Junk folder if it does not appear immediately. Without this, you cannot get into your Account. If you don't receive the email, please don't ask us. There is nothing we can do. Contact your Email Service Provider and have them put "@mtu.com" in their APPROVED LIST so you will receive our Store email's. You can click the Password Forgotten? Click here. link again and it will change your Password and send it again.
  3. In the left column, click Show My Orders.
  4. Find the order number for the software you need your Registration Code for.
  5. Click the VIEW button beside the order. If you don't remember the order number, click the VIEW button beside each order until you find it.
  6. Once you find the order, scroll to the bottom to find your Registration Code.
