Can You Be an MTU Beta Tester?
Over 41 years, we have discovered we can deliver superior products only with good, dedicated Beta Testers helping us. We will NOT RELEASE a new version of any product without the confidence and approval that only our Beta Testers can give us.
If finding problems is a challenge not a frustration...
AND you will post your findings...
AND you can communicate clearly in writing...
AND you have more than one computer to test with...
AND you have a respectful attitude to work with others under stress...
THEN... we may invite you to be an MTU Beta Tester.
We are very selective who we invite to the team. They are users who realize what we do... exhibit a high ethical-moral fiber... and want to join with us to make Karaoke a better experience for all.
A Beta Tester Must...
- Be a Forum Member - We select from users who are actively posting in our Forums. Therefore, click here to register in our Forum if you have not already. Product testing, digging, and analysis is important, but the discipline of respectfully posting your findings in the Forum is more important!
- Own the Product - You need to own what you will test. Please order the products you need. We do not give initial products to testers, but testing versions are free (including the final release you test).
- Be Respectful - Finding and identifying bugs can be stressful. We only invite special individuals who have already demostrated a clear, respectful attitude in their posts in the MTU Forums. Our Beta Testers are a tight-knit respectful team, and we only invite unique individuals we believe will fit in with our team.
- Have the Test Equipment - You must own a PC/Windows computer that meets the requirements to run our programs that you are willing to test with. Only having a Show System will prevent you from installing test versions. You must have a separate test computer available.
- Have an Internet Link - We only distribute via the Internet. You should have a good firewall and virus scanner for your own sanity. We can help if you need advice.
- Desire to Test - You will receive email notices about bugs others have found. You should post to the Forum any bugs that you find. Do dumb things to try to crash it!
- Post Results - For each test version, you will go to the product Beta Tester Forum and post that you have downloaded and are testing. When you find a bug, list step by step instructions of what you do in the order you do it. Be factual and accurate so others can reproduce it.
- Hold Secret - You agree to not disassemble, de-compile, or in any other way try to decipher the code or its means or algorithms. You can tell others the features you are testing, but do not discuss any particular bugs. Do not dwell on the fact you are finding bugs. That is your job, and what you test will not release until the bugs are fixed and you give us your approval.
Thank You!
To all our current and past Beta Testers...
We are honored by your dedication and support. As members of our development team, your efforts enhance the "simplicity" and quality of our products. We deeply appreciate each and every one of you! |
